We built Mynichefund for a simple desire. A platform to share passion while simply saying: this is my work, help me keep going.
We've encountered countless situations leaving questions why a platform designated for personal art funds didn't exist. As we're all aware, art funds are the first to be cut back from societal benefits. Even though the creative community is growing continuously, we're still neglected and forced to fend our needs without government support. As artists ourselves we wanted to build something for the community. An access point we felt would've helped us throughout our journey.
With gratitude and hope, let's eliminate feeling guilty and/or ashamed to seek financial support. It shouldn't be something to apologize for. Travel, studio time, supplies, exhibition projects, assistance, the list goes on. These are all real needs.
It's all part of making art and finding our voice. Let's discover the means to help each other and foster our human qualities.
